He is laying the foundation stone for an Estate development of affordable housing in the area.\n</p>\n<p>\nAll the children from Aldford have been asked to welcome Prince Charles and the Royal Party. They will line the road from 3pm to greet him…with waving flags in hand! We are delighted that our junior and infant pupils have been invited to participate in this important visit by HRH the Prince of Wales.\n</p>\n<p>\nOn Thursday 26th March, all the pupils of Aldford School lined the streets to greet HRH Prince of Wales on his visit to the village. Despite the cold weather and icy rain, the children waved their flags and sang excitedly as they waited for the Prince’s arrival.<img src=\"/files/u18/broadsheet_9.jpg\" border=\"3\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"3\" vspace=\"3\" width=\"431\" height=\"409\" />\n</p>\n<p>\nPrince Charles took his time to speak to many of our pupils, commended them for waiting so patiently and accepted a bouquet of his favourite flowers from Tiana and Eleanor. It was an experience that we all really enjoyed and will never forget.\n</p>\n<p>\n<img src=\"/files/u18/broadsheet_8.jpg\" border=\"3\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"3\" vspace=\"3\" width=\"335\" height=\"286\" />\n</p>\n<p>\nTo celebrate World Book Day, Aldford pupils came to school dressed as characters from different stories.\n</p>\n<p>\n<br />\nJ5/6 dressed as Shakespearean characters.\n</p>\n<p>\n<img src=\"/files/u18/broadsheet_4.jpg\" border=\"3\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"3\" vspace=\"3\" width=\"500\" height=\"416\" />\n</p>\n<p>\nCan you recognise some of these well known children’s story book characters?\n</p>\n<p>\n<img src=\"/files/u18/broadsheet_5.jpg\" border=\"3\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"3\" vspace=\"3\" width=\"500\" height=\"330\" />\n</p>\n<p>\nThe Reception class chose characters from their favourite nursery rhymes.
