The school arranges many trips during the academic year; half day, full day and residential. These provide a breadth to our curriculum that has immeasurable benefits for the children. They facilitate further educational enrichment by providing a broader balance of educational activities. Access to primary sources through first hand experience is encouraged by bringing learning from the classroom out into the real world. All trips are organised within the framework of the College’s extensive and thorough Trips Policy. Notice will always be given and a signed consent form is necessary.
Example of trips from last year include;
Teddy Bear Factory, Environmental Education Centre, Wrexham, Harvington Hall, Grosvenor and Deva Museums in Chester, Burwardsley, St John’s Ambulance training base at the Countess of Chester Hospital, Liverpool Museum, Chester Zoo, Park Hall Farm Oswestry, Manchester Airport and theatre visits.
The Chapel Choir led Evensong at the Abbey to over 600 visitors every evening.
Another successful Geography visit has returned from the Swiss Alps. Read more on the blog - www.agcoutandabout.blogspot.com
