Abbey Gate College students have triumphed in the Independent Schools' Association Art Awards at regional level and the winning entries now go forward to the National Awards next month.
The College, which is in Saighton, just outside Chester, claimed all six of the sketchbook prizes awarded at Key Stages 3 and 4. Catherine Heylings, of Year 9, was rewarded with first place in under-16 textiles, while Ruth Siddorn and Rebecca Millington were placed in the 3-dimensional and 2-dimensional categories at Key Stage 3.
Head, Mrs Lynne Horner, said: "I am delighted with these successes, particularly as this year saw the opening of our three brand new Art Rooms at the College."
The Chapel Choir led Evensong at the Abbey to over 600 visitors every evening.
