Pirates Ahoy!
Infant 2 went to Liverpool for adventure on the high seas! They spent the morning being pirates at the Maritime Museum.
They learnt all about life on board a pirate ship, dressed up as pirates and took part in a treasure hunt around the museum. To finish off they sang sea shanties with ‘Shanty Colin’. Then the class went to Underwater Street Discovery Centre. Here they participated in many activities relating to all areas of the curriculum. These included making and racing balloon powered vehicles, investigating light and sound, using the senses, wall climbing, making magnets, role play and much, much more!
The children (and teachers!) were very tired after such an exciting and fun packed day. Mrs Courtney was very pleased with the behaviour of all the children and thank you to Mrs Dukes & Mr Sutton for their help.
