Peer Mentoring
The Senior Prefects underwent a half day of training at The Queen Hotel in Chester in order to begin their role as Peer Mentors. The aim is to provide support for younger students throughout the College on a range of issues and will provide a vital link between students, Sixth Form and staff.
The training provided the senior students with the chance to explore what peer mentoring is, how they can effectively use questioning techniques as well as issues surrounding confidentiality. The senior students are looking forward to using their skills in order to help pupils in need and they have undoubtedly added a range of new skills to their CV’s.
