YEAR 11 LEADERSHIP DAY
The visit to Liverpool John Moore’s University was followed up by a day of activities around College. The themes of the day were to learn more about A levels and university study, to work with students across the whole year group, to develop good team working and leadership skills, as well as to have some fun. Each student had their own favourite activity, and these ranged from; climbing through the Spiders Web, juggling, skiing and using the planks and tyres to get their team across the swamp. The students learnt a lot about themselves and others and the balloon bursting competition proved to be a fitting end to a very successful day. The students face some difficult choices in the months ahead and they are now better placed to make more informed decisions. The Leadership Day is a fore-runner to the Sixth Form Trip to Glara Mara where the focus shifts to preparing for A levels and university, as well as going climbing, abseiling, hill walking and zip wiring across a gorge!
The Chapel Choir led Evensong at the Abbey to over 600 visitors every evening.
