All players were outstanding but by common consent all the coaches of the other teams voted Alex Schwarz player of the tournament.\n</p>\n<p>\nThe Under 18 ISA tournament in Cheltenham in late April allowed the boys to demonstrate further their ability and they finished as highly creditable runners up.\n</p>\n<p>\n<strong>Football</strong>- the 1st XI football team also competed with enthusiasm in 2 fixtures against Shrewsbury school and an exciting friendly against King’s school. The highlight of the season was their performance at Oswestry School where they triumphed 5-1.\n</p>\n<p>\n<img src=\"/files/u18/1st_Xi_football.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" />\n</p>\n<p>\n&#160;\n</p>\n<p>\n&#160;\n</p>\n<p>\n&#160;\n</p>\n<p>\n&#160;\n</p>\n<p>\n&#160;\n</p>\n<p>\n<strong>Cricket-</strong> early season fixtures against The Grange and Fallibroome, Macclesfield has again shown the growing depth of sporting talent at the senior end of the College. Edward Speakman proved himself to be a highly capable all rounder, with Jon Steventon and Rob Marks also showing great promise.
