On Friday 27th May, all the pupils and staff of Aldford School, Junior & Infant Department of Abbey Gate College, embarked on a sponsored walk across His Grace, Duke of Westminster’s Eaton Estate. The pupils, ranging in age from 4-11 years were walking to raise money for Abbey Gate College’s chosen charity, Save the Family.
The younger children walked just over a mile in total with the older children walking 3 miles to the Estate’s Obelisk and back. In total the 120 children raised £2400 which will go towards the College total donation of £20,000. The day was much enjoyed by all the pupils and the school extend their thanks to His Grace, Duke of Westminster for permitting the children to walk through his beautiful estate.
The Chapel Choir led Evensong at the Abbey to over 600 visitors every evening.
