The Art Department has recently moved into brand new purpose built accommodation within the Arts and Media centre. We have three large well equipped studios, one for general Art, one dedicated to Textiles and one specifically for Sixth Form.
Pupils in years 7, 8, and 9 have a double lesson of Art each week. We aim to provide an enjoyable and creative experience; producing work that is varied and exciting, using a wide range of media both in two and three dimensions. Regularly changing displays of work can be seen around the school and in the department.
Work from all years has been submitted to the Independent Schools Association Art Competition, with success both regionally and nationally.
Every pupil will have the opportunity to participate in a practical workshop run by a visiting professional Artist during the year. We also organise visits to Exhibitions and Galleries both locally and further afield.
The Chapel Choir led Evensong at the Abbey to over 600 visitors every evening.
Another successful Geography visit has returned from the Swiss Alps. Read more on the blog - www.agcoutandabout.blogspot.com
